Cot Mattress Cover in Premium Fabric
MiteGuard covers should be fitted to your mattress, duvet and pillow. Your usual outer sheets and covers are then fitted over the top of the MiteGuard covers. Regular (weekly) washing of the outer sheets and covers in hot water (>55C) will maintain a low allergen environment in the bed.

Covers are manufactured in two different types of fabric, all equally as effective as house dust mite allergen barriers but differing in levels of comfort and lifespan:
MiteGuard2 Premium covers are made from the renowned Pristine? precision microweave fabric, a breakthrough in allergen protection which sets the standard for comfort, ease of laundering and effectiveness.
Miteguard Cotton Natural is a similar style of fabric but is 100% cotton.
Before Pristine was developed, allergen barrier fabrics were made by applying a polyurethane coating to normal bed sheeting materials which, although they prevented allergen particles coming through, allowed little or no air to pass through. These older fabrics were less comfortable, took a long time to dry after washing and had a more limited lifespan compared to Pristine.
Needless to say, Pristine is considered the best allergen barrier fabric available.
MiteGuard Premium covers are best for those seeking optimum comfort and durability. While these covers have a higher initial cost, their greater life expectancy makes them more economical in the longer term
Miteguard Cotton Natural is 100% cotton, which is ideal for those who prefer natural bedding products, those with allergies to synthetic fabrics and who wish for the most natural bedding products. This soft fabric is particularly suited for pillow and duvet covers
