Zinc Oxide versus chemical UV filters
Many mainstream sunscreens use chemical UV filters to provide protection against UV rays. There are concerns that chemical UV filters may be absorbed into the body through the skin. Natural Instinct Natural Sunscreen uses only naturally sourced Zinc Oxide to provide broad spectrum protection. We have searched the world to find the best Zinc Oxide which complies with both the Australian NICNAS and EU non-nano standards. This means that the Zinc Oxide used in our Natural Sunscreen has a larger particle size compared to other sunscreens that contain transparent (small/nano-particle sized) Zinc Oxide.
Shake before use
Because our sunscreen is a natural formulation with larger particles of zinc oxide, we have created a formulation that must be shaken before use. Apply liberally and evenly onto clean, dry skin 20 minutes prior to sun exposure. Re-apply every 2 hours and especially after swimming, exercise, excessive perspiration or towel drying. Always wear protective clothing including a hat and sunglasses and avoid prolonged sun exposure. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
