Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Solgar Acetyl L Carnitine 250mg 30 Vegecaps would interest you. PLEASE NOTE: We do not stock this product but it is available by order, please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Solgar® Acetyl-L-Carnitine 250 mg is one of Solgar’s premium-quality amino acid range products containing Acetyl-L-Carnitine, a molecule that occurs naturally in the brain, liver, and kidney.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is similar to the amino acid, L-Carnitine. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and are needed in several internal functions of the body. They are classified as “essential” or “non-essential”, with essential amino acids meaning they cannot be manufactured by the body and must be supplied in the diet to maintain good all-round health. Amino acids can be further used by the body to create hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, antibodies and nutrient carriers. A suboptimal intake of the essential amino acids increases the body’s need for the non-essential amino acids either through diet or supplementation. Foods that increase amino acid intake are meat, beans, cheese and eggs.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is naturally present in the body in the brain, liver, and kidney. Unlike L-Carnitine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine is able to cross the blood brain barrier and is involved in brain energy metabolism by helping to transport fatty acids into the mitochondria where they can be burned up and be used as fuel.

RECOMMENDED DOSE One (1) vegetable capsule daily, preferably at mealtimes or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine (as HCI) 250 mg
